In close consultation with the client and broader project team, Western Sydney Planning continues to provide town planning services for the proposed Carnes Hill Aquatic and Recreation Centre, a significant piece of social infrastructure for Liverpool and the wider south-west Sydney region.
The proposal involves the redevelopment of a vacant site adjacent to Cowpasture Road, Kurrajong Road and the existing Michael Clarke Recreation Centre. The site is subject to a number of planning and environmental constraints, including a transmission easement, ecological considerations, traffic and access requirements, and land use matters, all of which have required careful consideration throughout the design and assessment process.
Western Sydney Planning continues to work closely with Council officers, the project team, the Design Review Panel and the Local Planning Panel to progress the application through the assessment process.
